The Pedal Biplane is a bit different pedal project: A cute, fun 1930's barnstormer you can build for a budding aviator! The Pedal Biplane's attractive style is based on a number of iconic biplane elements, ranging from WWI planes to the classic planes of the '30's. We used to keep ours sitting in the patio for decoration even when there weren't any kids around! This project is a big hit with kids and it's easy to see why: Great looks to set the imagination flying, steering with the control stick, and a propeller the pilot can spin from inside!
As with all our projects, no welding is required and all the hardware is readily available at home-centers and hardware stores. The fuselage and wings are made of plywood, the radial engine cowling is made from a plastic trashcan bottom It's a fun project and one which builders will enjoy as much as the young pilots!
